Published in Friesens’ PNL, this article highlights a lovely, self-publishing author from Atlanta, GA with a very unique children’s book. The Bravest Worrier comes with a correlating app that provides you an immersive augmented reality experience to further enjoy the title. This book tackles the issue of childhood anxiety in a brand new way!
Booklover's Dream Vacation
I wrote this article for Friesens’ newsletter after learning about a dreamy little book town in Wales called Hay-on-Wye. This small, sleepy village has become a bucket list destination for booklovers around the globe. The streets are lined with bookshops and outdoor bookshelves. The town is also home to the annual Hay Festival of Literature and Arts where the best authors of our time have flocked since 1988.
Operations All-Stars Finalist
Early in my career with Friesen’s, I nominated my Customer Service Representative, Editha Del Moral, as an “Operations All-Star” for Editor & Publisher Magazine. Editha immigrated to Canada from the Philippines to work for Friesens, without English being her first language or print being her former profession. I was proud to write this article showcasing her outstanding efforts, as she was named a finalist in the competition.
Carraway Award
Published in Friesens’ Newsletter, this article highlights a book called Great Houses and Their Stories: Winstom-Salem’s Era of Success, as it was being deservedly celebrated. In 2023, this title was awarded the Carraway Award for historic preservation in North Carolina. BW&A Books designed the gorgeous edition full of impeccable photography and rich history.

Recognized for Excellence
This feature written for the Friesens’ PNL, showcases our successes in book printing throughout the Southern museum community. From 2021-2023, a book printed by Friesens has won the coveted Gold Publication award at the Southeastern Museum Conference. We have also been blessed to use our world class craftmanship to create several Silver and Bronze awarded titles for SEMC musums. We are proud of our accomplishments in this realm of quality critical printing!
